January may seem like a far cry from summer, but the reality is it's time to start booking our favourite vacation spots!
Last year we ventured to Lake Temagami to try houseboating for the first time - we were extremely impressed!
Tamar Vacations is located on their own private island on the lake and offers cabin and houseboat rental. We booked our houseboat for the last week of May and had a fantastic time.
While the majority of the guests at Tamar were fishing groups, May proved to be an ideal time to explore the lake. We had access to a huge body of water with barley anyone on it!
Houseboating is an ideal way to cruise the lake and Tamar proved to be an excellent host - our houseboat was ready to go when we arrived and Bruce and his crew were extremely accommodating and laid back.
We had such a great time that we have once again booked our spot at Tamar for this coming May. If you have a chance to check it out, I highly recommend it!
